The purpose of this blog is to present my notes about Study Skills that I have learned during my interim week. This subject so useful for students especially for the part 1 students. It helps students with learning skills essential for varsity life, which should be within each student.

MY LEARNING STYLE INVENTORY

MY SCORE

My preffered learning styles are visual and auditory styles.

CHARACTERISTIC OF VISUAL, AUDITORY, AND KINESTHETIC MODES
  • Visual learners need to see information. If your preferred style is visual, you have strong visualivation skills and can remember objects, shapes and pictures. You learn by reading, and by watching film, videos, and demonstrations. You can see pictures in your mind.
  • Auditory learners need to hear informationIf your preferred style is auditory, you have a "good ear" and can hear differences in tones and rhythm. Reading out loud will be beneficial. You can remember what you hear in a lecture.
  • Kinesthetic learnes need to be physically active and doing things. If your preferred is kinesthetic, you are hands-on learner. You have good coordination and learn by doing. You generally have an active approach to learning.

MY PERSONAL LEARNING STYLE PLAN

My learning styles are visual and auditory. So, diagrams help me a lot in study. I need to create mind maps such as i-think map in my notes. I will highlight my notes with different colour on the important part in my notes. If I want to remember something, I will change the keyword to a song because it easy to remember. I will make a study group with my friends. We will do a discussion and revision to help each other.

UNIVERSITY LIFE

As a university students, we need to be more responsible and productive to arrange our life in university life. High school environment is different with university. High school is teaching environment which students acquires fact and skills while university is learning environment which students must be independent and take responsibility for thinking and applying what have you learned. University life is tough because you need to do everything on your own. There are many differences between university and high school students. For example:
